John Boadu Condemns violent incident At Bono East delegates Conference

General Secretary of the governing NPP John Boadu condemned the violent incident which occurred during the start of the Bono East Regional delegate’s conference at the Atebubu Training College.

The incident saw persons believe to be body guards of the Atebubu-Amanteng MCE Edward Ofori clash with party’s internal security at that at the college. The party’s internal security denied entry of the MCE’s body guards into the assembly hall which led to fisticuffs between the two.

 

It took the intervention of the police and military to restore calm to kick start the conference. John Boadu who was incensed over the incident charged the party at the regional level to ensure such incident does not recur. “The incident which happened at the start of the conference is awful. NPP is not a violent party. The founders of the party did not resort to violent”. I hope region will ensure this incident not recur ever again in the history of the party”. He added

The Regional Chairman of the party Thomas Adu Appiah on his part assured the leadership of the party that all internal issues would be resolves to curtail a recurrence of such incident in the future.
