TESCON suspends all activities to register displeasure at treatment meted to them during NPP congress

The student’s wing of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended all activities on their various campuses in protest at the treatment meted to them during this weekend’s National Delegates Congress.

This follows an injunction on the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) which barred the student leaders number close to 300 from voting during the National Executive Elections.

But in a joint statement, the entire TESCON Presidents across the country announced the suspension of their activities and expressed their anger at the leadership of the party.

The statement also demanded to see the individuals behind the said injunction and also requested the leadership of the party to resolve the ambiguity regarding TESCON representations at Regional and National conferences.

“We want to see the said injunction, the one who placed the injunction and the reason for the injunction and also give us positive assurance to settle as soon as possible the ambiguity on TESCON Representations during Regional and National Conferences in the next Annual National Delegates Conference otherwise we will advise ourselves accordingly.”
